Details from Freewheeling Press Voorhees State Park The beginnings of Voorhees State Park can be traced back to 1929, when Foster M. Voorhees, a former governor of New Jersey, donated his 325-acre farm to the people of the state. Succeeding land acquisitions have increased the size of the park to its present 640 acres. This loop ride through the park uses wide doubletrack trails, primitive park roads, paved road, and a short stretch of singletrack on the section of trail between the observatory and the scenic overlook. ...
