For those who take a more relaxed approach to cycling, the multi-use paths along the canals on either side of the Delaware River offer excellent opportunities to ride extended distances without encountering hills or drivers who don't seem inclined to share the road.
In Pennsylvania, the Delaware Canal runs from Bristol to Easton. It has been paved over in many places south of Morrisville, but from Morrisville north to Uhlerstown, the towpath is surfaced with hard-packed crushed stone ...
