Why the $25 limit? The limit on contributions has nothing to do with taxes, laws, or business policies. It is the amount that I, personally, deem to be the maximum justifiable value of the information and service that I provide for my individual viewers.
I appreciate the offers to contribute greater amounts, but cannot accept them and retain my personal sense of honor and dignity. To some folks, this info and service may be worth more and I find that intensely gratifying, in and of itself. This does not mean that I need to accept more money from anyone. When you buy a great book or magazine at the news stand, you don't send the author or publisher additional cash because you REALLY LOVED the contents, do you? The only difference here is that I do not REQUIRE anyone to pay for my product.
