Your donation supports CrankyCritic.com, home of the most honest movie reviews on the ‘net (plus massive libraries of posters, wallpapers, movie star interviews and trailer links). Since 1994 we’ve been taking it to the people, seeing if movies deliver what they promise.
While we may be more honest than “cranky,” our dollar ratings system puts a hard number on whether or not a film should be seen on the big screen or rented. Or searched out, in the case of arthouse films that are way too good to be consigned to oblivion. And, unlike other critics, if we have baggage that we know influences how we view a film, we spill it. But all this comes at a great cost—you have no idea of the physical strain caused by sitting through one stinker after another, 275 days a year—so, for everyone that has said they’d help the site, now you can. If we’ve steered you to good movies that you wouldn’t have gone to, or kept you away from clunkers, we ask that you donate the cost of a movie ticket to show your support for CrankyCritic®. Doing so keeps this site free and helps support the framework that brings stars such as Sandra Bullock and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Woody Allen and William H. Macy and others before our StarTalk microphones.
